Thermolog heatlogs are produced from waste wood chip and sawdust.Unlike other similar heatlogs they have not been simply compacted but extruded under extreme pressure to form a very dense log that contains no additives and will burn for hours.

The square format of the heatlog allows for easy stacking and the central hole running the length of the heatlog gives very controlled burning and even combustion.Unlike some heatlogs they do not expand when heated.

Heatlogs are a great alternative to fossil fuels as they are carbon neutral. This means that the carbon released when burning is equal to the carbon absorbed by the wood during growth. We only use recycled woodwaste and sawdust and our heatlogs have a moisure content of about 5% compared with about 25% for typical seasoned logs. This means they burn hotter and longer

We use no additives or binding agents during manufacture of the heatlog, the process works on temperature and very high pressure that releases the cellulose and lignin within the wood which binds the particles together. Our heatlogs are not just compressed sawdust but a dense extruded heatlog with a similar calorific value to coal and the added bonus of very little ash( you can use this in the garden).

Thermolog heatlogs are available in packs of 18 logs which equals approximately 10kg.Each heatlog is approximately 210mm x 50mm

  • Only 5% moisture
  • High radiant heat
  • Minimal ash
  • Convenient pack of 18
  • No spitting
